How to decant liquids into travel bottles
3 min read · Beauty House HQ

Travel bottles let you take a little of what you like without the whole big bottle.
Filling them neatly is a small skill, and here are the steps.
Get ready
Wash the bottles with warm soapy water and let them dry fully. Our Refillable Travel Bottle Set has plastic bottles, a pump, a spray bottle and soft squeeze tubes.
The set includes a small funnel, a spatula, a dropper and a clear zip pouch.
Fill them
Place the funnel in the bottle opening and pour slowly. Leave a little space at the top so the cap closes easily.
Wipe any drips from the outside.
Label and pack
Write what is inside on a label. It saves guessing later.
Pack the bottles upright in a pouch. Squeeze a little air out before you close them.
Handy habits
Fill over a sink or a tray so any drips are easy to wipe. Fill thinner liquids first and thicker ones last, since thick ones take more time to settle in the bottle.
Use a sticky label or a marker to write the name and the date you filled it. A short, clear label saves guessing at the airport.
Rinse the funnel between products. When you get home, empty the bottles, wash them with warm soapy water and air dry with the caps off. Browse our travel and brush care collection for packing partners.
